Larry Fullerton
CEO, Chief Scientist and Board Member
Larry is a prolific inventor and has been the recipient of over 185 US Patents in the fields of magnetics, ultra wideband technology, impulse radio technology, velocity measurement, communications, and geophysics. Among these, Larry has invented Correlated Magnetics, the pipe sorter that is currently the industry standard, the free-space video link used by store security systems worldwide, a robotic system that automates crankshaft grinders, a high-speed coin sorter, time coherent ultra wideband technology, and many other revolutionary technologies. Larry earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.

Mark Roberts
Founder, President, COO and Board Member
Mark worked for 18 years as an engineer before he began specializing in intellectual property analysis and management. For the last 10 years, he has managed and grown patent portfolios involving over 400 pending and issued patents worldwide, and he developed the Integral Patent Services™ Intellectual Property (IP) management process. This IP management process is designed to minimize the time and expense of patenting inventions while dramatically increasing quality and value and is utilized by Correlated Magnetics Research. Mark also has been the recipient of 85 U.S. Patents, including many with Larry Fullerton. Mark earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Ron Jewell
VP, North American Sales and Marketing
Ron’s background includes 12 years experience in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software sales and marketing with a specialization in the technical disciplines of computational fluid dynamics and structural/thermal finite-element modeling.   Ron developed business over a broad market focus including aerospace and defense, automotive, metallurgical, manufacturing, electronics packaging, and chemical & process industries.  To complement his experience in computer-based multiphysics modeling tools, Ron accumulated nearly 10 years in sales and marketing of large-scale high-performance computing systems and advanced graphics subsystems focused on the Department of Defense and Federal Intelligence Community business space.   Ron earned a BS in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from Auburn University.

Stephen Straus
VP, Commercialization and Strategy and Board Member
Stephen has started, run and successfully sold two companies and was also a General Partner at Austin Ventures, the largest venture capital firm in the Southwest. Among other projects while at Austin Ventures, Stephen worked with Larry Fullerton and Mark Roberts on the launch of an ultra-wideband semiconductor company. Stephen graduated cum laude from Colgate University and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. He serves on the Engineering Advisory Board of the Cockrell College of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.

R. Scott Evans, PhD
Director, R&D Business Development
Scott is an expert in the commercialization of emerging technologies. He has co-founded technology companies, created commercialization methods, developed and taught graduate coursework in technology commercialization and has provided consulting services for a range of companies from technology startups to the Fortune 50. He is also an accomplished engineer with hands-on experience in materials, product development, and manufacturing in market sectors from semiconductor fabrication to heavy industry. He has designed and built machines for manufacturing and developed new manufacturing processes. Scott holds a BSME from the University of Arizona, a Master’s from Georgia Tech, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas.

 Jake Zimmerman
General Counsel and VP of Licensing
Jake is an attorney with an extensive background in patent licensing and litigation. During eight years at a national law firm, Jake and his teams recovered nearly a billion dollars through licensing and litigation. Jake worked with a wide range of technologies ranging from nanometer-scale semiconductor processes, transistor designs, power bussing, cache coherence, embolic protection devices, and electrostatic air cleaners. Jake received his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota and later returned to graduate magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota School of Law.

General Donald G. “Don” Cook
General Cook retired as a Four Star General after a 36-year career in the U.S. Air Force. His culminating assignment was as the Commander of the Air Education and Training Command where he was responsible for executing an $8+ Billion annual budget and providing for the leadership, welfare and oversight of 90,000 military and civilian personnel. In his career, he commanded a flying training wing and two space wings, the 20th Air Force (the nation’s nuclear Intercontinental Ballistic Missile force), and was Commander of Air Combat Command during September 11, 2001. General Cook also served as the Chief of the Senate Liaison Office and on the staff of the House Armed Services Committee in the US House of Representatives. During his career he flew over 4,000 hours in various trainer, bomber and fighter aircraft. He was twice awarded the Distinguished Service Medal for exceptional leadership. General Cook currently serves as a Director at Crane Corporation, USAA Federal Savings Bank, and Hawker-Beechcraft Aircraft, and is a consultant to Lockheed-Martin. He previously served on the board of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad until its sale to Berkshire Hathaway. General Cook earned his MBA from Southern Illinois University and a BS from Michigan State University.

Dr. Daryl Ostrander
Dr. Ostrander has 35 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with expertise in semiconductor manufacturing. From 1981 to 2008, Dr. Ostrander was the Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Technology for Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), a global provider of microprocessor solutions for the computing, communications and consumer electronic markets. Since 2008, Dr. Ostrander serves as a Director at ON Semiconductor and RF Micron, a private company. Dr. Ostrander earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Rice University and a Doctorate in Physics from the University of Houston.

Dr. Hector Ruiz
Dr. Ruiz’ career spans more than 30 years with leading technology firms. He is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bull Ventures and was, most recently, Chairman and CEO of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). Prior to AMD, he served as the President of the Semiconductor Products Sector of Motorola, which he joined from Texas Instruments. He serves as a Director of The International Engineering Consortium, a Board Trustee of Rice University, a Trustee of The RAND Corporation, and is a member of the Engineering Advisory Board of the Cockrell College of Engineering at the University of Texas. Previously has been a Director of Spansion and Eastman Kodak as well as Vice Chairman of the Semiconductor Industry Association and a member of the President’s Council of Advisors for Science and Technology. Dr. Ruiz earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Doctorate in Electronics from Rice University.

Michael R. Cannon
Michael R. Cannon is retired after a 35 year career in high-technology companies. Mr. Cannon served as President, Global Operations of Dell Inc, President and Chief Executive Officer of Solectron Corp, an electronic manufacturing services company, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Maxtor Corporation, a disk drive and storage systems manufacturer. Prior to Maxtor, his management experience included vice president roles at IBM’s Storage Systems Division and at Control Data Corporation.  Mr. Cannon began his career at The Boeing Company working in the Manufacturing Research and Development organization.  Mr. Cannon currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Adobe Systems, a software company; Seagate Technology, a disk drive and data storage solutions company; Lam Research, a semiconductor fabrication equipment company; and the Elster Group SE, a metering and smart grid technology company.  Mr. Cannon previously served on the Board of Directors of the US-China Business Council.   Mr. Cannon studied Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University, and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
