This Coded Magnet^TM device features two
1-1/2” neodymium N42-grade magnets programmed with CMR’s SwirlCode^TM in sturdy polycarbonate oval fixtures with brushed aluminum handles. The correlated patterns of magnet polarities produce a very strong peak attraction force when aligned. This code will produce stronger tensile and shear forces than conventional magnets this size, while the engagement distance is reduced by an order of magnitude. A simple twist decorrelates the coded surfaces and the magnetic elements begin to cancel each other - the result is easy detachment and separation of very strong magnets.
